MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH
NURSING
• Maternal and Child Health Nursing (MCH) – a subspecialty of
nursing that deals with needs of mothers and children
• Nursing – designed to meet the needs of various groups and
developmental stages
• Nursing Model – give direction to nurses working in a particular area
and it helps predict expected outcomes of nursing actions
• Theory – a set of propositions about defined and related constructs that
describe the relationship among the variables in order to systemically
describe the phenomena of interest (Kerlinger, 1986)
NURSING THEORIES
ASSIGNMENT:
Research on nursing theories related to maternal and
child nursing. List and explain (include main points/phases,
if any) at least five (5) theories. Draw illustrations, if
necessary. You can have it hand written or encoded, long
bond paper/yellow pad. Submission will be on or before
August 7, 2022.
