The covenants fulfilled in Jesus

Adam did not obey god; Jesus’ obedience to the Father


is perfect. He is thus called the “New Adam” for
undoing the damage of the original sin.
In Noah’s time, the flood was an instrument for new
creation. Noah “condemned the world and became an
heir of the righteousness which comes by faith.
Jesus is the new Noah, He brings about the waters of
Baptism, the flood that saves us.
God promised Abraham that He will make him the
source of the Blessing. Jesus’ is Abraham’s descendants.
The covenants fulfilled in Jesus

God gave moses the Law


teaching the people to Love
God and to live in unity
with Him;

of God’s Law with His
teachings.

solomon who is David’s son
was built on a rock.
Jesus declares that His
church will also be built on
a rock.
Nurturing God’s Message

1. Jesus fulfills God’s promise of Salvation.


2. The name Jesus means “God saves”
3. The coming of Jesus fulfilled God’s promises in the
covenants.
4. The name “emmanuel” means “God is with us.”
5. The angel who appeared to Joseph in a dream
affirmed that Jesus is the promised Messiah.
6. God’s work of creation and redemption are borne
out of God’s love for humankind.
Nurturing God’s Message

7. Jesus fulfilled His mission of salvation in words and


deeds.
8. The Eucharist is the sign of Jesus’ New covenant.
9. Jesus saved us humankind by dying on the cross.
10. Receiving Jesus body in the Eucharist strengthens
us to be His witness.
