MECHANICS :Mobile Photography Contest
 OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS all junior and senior high school of Mangayon
NHS
Photo Specifications
 The theme for this year’s photo contest is showcasing the beauty of nature/
environment of Mangayon NHS Campus.
 Each contestant must submit only one (1) photo entry.
 Entry must be originally captured by the contestant.
 Only photos taken by mobile cameras are allowed.
 Photo manipulation is discouraged.
 Photo must not contain date stamps, watermarks or any text on the image.
Submission of Photos
 To join, contestants must submit photo entry to their adviser
 Six (6) photo entries will be selected for final judging
 Final photo entries will be printed in 8R size for display
 Filename of the photo must be in the format “SURNAME_PHOTO
TITLE”

 Photo Caption: (1-2 sentences explaining/describing the photograph
and its relevance to the theme)

 Only entries submitted through the email address provided will be
accepted.
 Submission of entries will begin on January 4,2022 (7:00am) and
will end on January
 Entries submitted beyond the deadline will not be accepted.
Criteria
 50% - Content and Relevance to the Theme
 30% - Artistic Value and Communication Potential
of the Image
 20% - Technical Excellence and Quality
 100% - TOTAL
 
 Three (3) winners will be declared regardless of grade
levels.
POSTER MAKING CONTEST
 The Poster making contest is open to All Junior and Senior High School
students of Mangayon National High School.
 Participants who are willing to join the event should register on or before
January 4 to their respective Science Clubbers.
 The following materials are required to be provided by the participants.
 Bond Paper or Velum
 Oil pastels
 Pencil
 Cotton
 Masking tape
Entries should highlight and illustrate the National Science Club Month 2022
theme, “GENESCAPE: Priming Perspectives, Amplifying Advancements”.
On the spot poster making will be held @ the Social hall on January 6,2022
8:00am.
 Top three (3) winners will be selected. The winning entries will be
determined using the following Criteria:
 30% - Content (relevance to the theme)
 30% - Design (originality and creativity)
 25% - Impact (appeal and associability)
 15% - Overall Aesthetic (elements and principles of
design)
 100% TOTAL
SKETCHING
Mechanics
 The contest is open to all junior and senior high school students of
Mangayon NHS. The participants must bring a pencil, a bond
paper or an Oslo paper.
 The contestant will be given a picture of a famous world leader
and sketch for 4 hours.
 Winners will be chosen solely by looking into the similarity of
the sketch to the given photo.
 Top three (3) winners will be selected.
TIKTOK Challenge
 Stay at home Science TIKTOK challenge for students and all
teaching and non-teaching personnel in Mangayon NHS.
 Open to all Junior and Senior High School Students; teaching and
non-teaching personnel of Mangayon NHS.
 The 15-60 seconds TIKTOK video should feature one’s way of
fighting/ preventing COVID-19, taken at home and use the
hashtag# SafeFromCovid# MangayonNHS
 Must be done solo or group observing social distancing
 Must be posted in personal Facebook accounts on or
before January 4 , 2022 and must tag our official
facebook page Mangayon NHS
 The criteria for judging are the following:
 Creativity - 40%
 Entertainment - 40%
 Covid 19 Prevention Impact - 20%
 TOTAL - 100%
 The top 3 winners will be chosen for each year level and
another 3 winners for the teaching and non-teaching
personnel.
SPOKEN WORD POETRY CONTEST
Mechanics/ Guidelines:
 SPOKEN POETRY is a performance art that is word based.
It is a writing that is meant to be spoken or delivered with
emotions to an audience. It is an oral art that focuses on the
art of word play, rhythm, improvisation, intonation and
voice inflection.
 The contestant is open to all students of Mangayon National
High School in 2 categories (JHS and SHS). Each category
shall be allowed 1 entry per section.
 The spoken word poetry piece must be original
composition. It could be written in Filipino or in English or
in Taglish
 The piece must be Science-related concept or issues and
must not contain any malicious and offensive content.
 Each contestant is given 3-5 minutes to recite or deliver his-
her piece
 Each contestant must submit a hardcopy of the piece on or
before January 6,2022 during the competition.
 Sounds, instrumental or music background is allowed to complement the delivery. No deduction shall be
made if the contestant opts not to have a musical background.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING


Message/Content 40%
 The content of the spoken piece is relevant and related to the theme.
 The piece has a powerful and meaningful message to the audience.
Delivery and Performance 40%
 The spoken piece as delivered from the heart
 Connection to the audience was established from the start
 Facial expression, hand and body gestures emphasized the different elements of the performance.
 Eye contact pulled the audience to the message of the spoken words
 Audience attention and interest were captured and sustained throughout the delivery.
 Enunciation is clear. Audience can understand what is being spoken
 Words are pronounced distinctly and correctly. Does not stutter nor stammer
Originality 10%
 The piece must be original composition by the contestant
Overall impact 10%
 The student’s physical presence, voice and articulation, dramatic
appropriateness and evidence of understanding all seem on target
and unified to breathe life into the piece
 Total success of the performance, the degree to which the recitation
has become more than the sum of its parts. Did the student bring the
audience to a better understanding of the theme through the poetry
piece?
QUIZ BEE
Mechanics/ Guidelines:
 Quizzers are open to all students of Mangayon
National High School in 5 Levels (Grade 7,8,9,10, &
11 ).No limit of participants.
 The quiz has Easy(30), Average(15) and Difficult
round(5) buffer question(5) in case of tied.
 The quiz will be using QUIZZES APS or any
interactive quiz. Teachers are in-charge of crafting the
quiz.
