Interior Design PPT On Library 1.1

The Seattle Central Library underwent a major redesign and expansion completed in 2004. The new 11-story glass and steel building emphasizes maximizing natural light throughout its interior spaces. It features a "spiral" design that allows patrons to browse books in a continuous row rather than on separate floors. The building received LEED Silver certification for its environmentally conscious design, which incorporates large windows, translucent shelving, and positioning of spaces to control daylight and minimize energy usage.
