Synchronous Online Classes – Meet via Google Meet at specific class time
Asynchronous Online Classes – Will not meet, but you will have seatwork and other online
activities
F2F - Face-to-Face classes

DSSC LMS – main platform for  Learning Management System
Google Classroom – backup platform for Learning Management System
Modular Students – students who purely take Modular Learning
Blended Learning – online and F2F learning modality

1. GRADING SYSTEM
Blended Learning Students:
30% - Classroom Participation (Reporting, Oral Recit, & Quizzes)
30% - Projects/ School Activities
40% - Periodical Examination per Term

100% Modular Students:
Module/Projects: 40%
50% - Midterm Grade Major Exams: 40%
50% - Final Term Grade Campus Activities: 20%
– Total of 100% Final Grade
Grade Equivalent
0 Base equivalent percentage computation is used with 75% (3.0, subject for
change) for licensure programs & 50% for non-board programs.
2. ABSENCES
Attendance is counted from the first day of regular classes regardless of the date of
the student’s enrolment thus classes missed due to late enrolment shall be
considered absent.
 
A student who has incurred absences of more than 20% of total class meeting in a
given time shall not be given credit for the course or subject.
 
Subjects with or without laboratory and more than 3 units subjects are as follows:

Any subject meeting 1 x a week = 3 absences max = 4 absences over cut


Any subject meeting 2 x a week = 7 absences max = 8 absences over cut
Any subject meeting 3 x a week = 10 absences max = 11 absences over cut
3. TARDINESS
Students are allowed to be late until 15 minutes for both online and
F2F classes to give them time to prepare and travel as well as solving
internet and device troubles. He/she will be tagged as “PRESENT”.

Late for more than 15 minutes will be tagged as “LATE”. Unless valid
reasons/proofs are presented BEFORE THE CLASS starts.

Late for more than 1 hour will be considered as “ABSENT”. Unless


valid reasons/proofs are presented BEFORE THE CLASS starts.

4. DROPPING OF STUDENTS
DROPPING of students is ONLY allowed during the Adding/Dropping Schedule as posted
by DSSC (as per Student/School Handbook).

Instructors CAN NOT DROP students WITHOUT the DROPPING FORM. Meaning,
FAILURE to attend classes, submission of modules, and assignments/projects, and NO
exams will be subjected to a FAILED GRADE of 5.0

*MODULAR STUDENTS must have valid reasons as to why they can’t attend online and
F2F classes. The following reasons may be acceptable after validation:

1. Working Students (provided Certificate of Employment w/ working time)


2. PWD (Orthopedic)/2nd-3rd Trimester of Pregnancy
3. Conflicting Schedule (such as Main Campus vs. Sulop Ext. Campus)
5. INC
Failure to submit and complete Modules, Assignments, Projects, Performance
and Written Exams, etc. on or before deadline will be given an INC grade. You
are given 10 school days late to comply before receiving an INC.
6. SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Late Submissions (Modules, Assignments, Projects, Performance
and Written Exams, etc.) after strict deadline indicated on DSSC
LMS or Google Classroom will get a 10-point deduction.

More than 10 school days late (except Pen-and-Paper/Written


Exams) -> Failed Grade of "Zero"
7. NETIQUETTE
 Observe proper time and good manners when messaging your instructors. Greet, state
your name, and course/section, and your question. E.g. “Good morning, Sir Jay-ar. I’m
Juan Dimakalupad, BPA-1, GEC 605 class. My question/concern is…”

 Use proper language in GC; NO to fighting, being marites, saying bad words etc. Do not
send nonsense messages to give way to "announcements“. Your Mayor/V-Mayor have
the AUTHORITY to call out you for misbehavior.

 Please answer inquiries from your instructor, Mayor/V-Mayor, and classmates when
they have "class-related" questions when seen (so help each other).

 Please message your Mayor/V-Mayor FIRST for your concerns/messages. The Mayor will
list the concerns and will PM me herself/himself. EXCEPT for very personal messages that
you want to relay to your instructor. Your instructor may be receiving a large volume of
messages or busy at the moment.
8. INDEX CARDS
Instead of seating arrangement, we will have an individual index cards to keep a
record of your class participation – oral recitation, reporting, and other
performance tests. Do not forget to attach your picture on the upper right part
of your index card.
