Measures of Angles Formed Secants and Tangents

This document discusses properties of angles formed when lines intersect circles. It states that if a tangent and chord intersect, each angle is half the intercepted arc. If two chords intersect inside a circle, each angle is half the sum of intercepted arcs. If a tangent/secant or two secants/tangents intersect outside a circle, each angle is half the difference of intercepted arcs. It also presents theorems relating measurements of chord and secant segments. Examples demonstrate applying the properties and theorems to solve for angle and segment measurements.
