18.Transducer (Anti Skid Unit)
1. Hand Pump (Emergency)
Type: Single action and Double action
For: Emergency condition if main
pump fail
2. Power Pump
Type: EDP (Engine Driven Pump) and
ACMP (Alternating Current Motor-
Driven Pump)
Use: For supply hydraulic pressure
3. Filter
Type: Micron-Type Filter and Filter
bypass valve
For: to clean the hydraulic fluid
4. Reservoir
Type: Pressurized and unpressurized
Use: For supply hydraulic fluid
5.Regulator
Use: Manage the output of the pump to
maintain pressure within a predetermi
ned range
6.Accumulator
Type: Piston, Diaphragm and Bladder
Use: To maintain pressure and emer-
gency pressure source
7. Pressure gauge
Use: As indicator in system pressure
8. Check Valves(Non Return Valve)
Type: Simple and Orifice
Use: Allows fluid to flow unimpeded in
direction, but prevents or restricts fluid
flow in the opposite direction
9. Relief valves
Use limit the amount of pressure being
exerted on a confined fluid
10. Selector valves
Type: Slide and Rotary
Use: Control direction of movement an
Actuator cylinder
11.Actuatung cylinder
Type: single and double action (liner)
Use:To impart powered liner motion to so
some movable object to mechanism
12.Hydraulic fuses
Use: Detect a sudden increase in flow, such as
a burst downstream and shut off the fluid flow
13.Priority Valves
Use: To gives priority critical hydraulic subsys
tem over noncritical system when system pres
sure is low, for instance: If set. 2.200 Psi (sys-
tem pressure) and pressure drops below 2.200
Psi, The priority valve closes for noncritical sys
tem (figure 12-41)
14.Sequence valves
Use: Sequence fluid direct (landing gear sys-
tem)
15.Shuttle valve
Use: For more than one source to meet subsys
tem requirement
16.Shutoff valve
Use: To close and open pressure with manually
17.Solenoid valve
Use: To close and open pressure with electri-
cally
18.Transduce (Anti skid Unit)
Use: To prevent Aircraft skding (Anti skid)
Pumps
All Aircraft hydraulic system have one or
more power-driven pump and have Hand
pump as additional unit where Engine-
driven pump (EDP) is inoperative
Power-driven pump are the primary sour
ce of energy and may be either Engine-
driven, Electric motor driven pump or air
driven as a general rule
Electric motor pump ACMP) are installed
for use in emergencies or during ground
operation
Some Aircraft can deploy a Ram Air Tur
bine (RAT) to generate hydraulic power

Question?
1. Emergency system for small Aircraft
(by hand pump)
- The Emergency system hydraulic is pro
vided as a backup if main system pres
sure lost, activated by manually hand
pump on flight deck floor, to power
◊ Flaps down and
◊ Landing gears
Basic Hydraulic system Hand Pump tanpa. Regulator, pressure gauge dan
Accumulator
2. Standby Hydraulic System (Emergency
system for Large Aircraft)
- The Standby system hydraulic is provided as a
backup if main system (A and B) pressure lost
- Can be activated manually or automatically and
uses a single electric ACPM to power.
◊ Thrust reversers
◊ Rudder
◊ Leading edge flaps and Slats (extend only)
◊ Standby Yaw damper
2. Indication
- A master caution light illuminated if an over
heat or low pressure is detected in the hydrau
lic system on the flight deck
- Also for system A and B and low pressure
Hydraulic System B-737
3. Emergency Extension Systems
- The emergency extension system lowers the
Landing gear if the main power system fails
- Some Aircraft have an emergency release han
dle in flight deck that is connected through a
mechanical linkage to the gear up locks then
the gear to free-fall by gravity acting
- The following picture are some types of Lan
ding gear handles/selector for emergency ex
tension operation of Landing Gear
