Procedure text is a text that explains, informs, or helps the
reader on how to make or use something
DESTINATION The purpose of procedure text is to make its readers understand and know how to make or operate something through successive steps. GENERIC STRUCTURE
The generic structures of this text are; title (goal),
materials/equipment, and steps. The language features of the procedure text are imperative sentences, action verbs, connectives, adverbials, and simple present tense. example How to Play Angklung Angklung is a traditional Indonesian art heritage. As a very valuable artistic heritage, we should learn to play the angklung. This is how to play angklung.
1. Hold the angklung with your left hand. Hold the
angklung by holding the knot where the two vertical and horizontal angklung poles meet (which is in the middle), so that the angklung is held right in the middle. 2. Hold it with your hands and palms facing up or down. 3. Position the angklung that is held upright and parallel to the body. The distance of the angklung from the body should be far enough (the left elbow is almost straight) so that the angklung can be vibrated properly and maximally.
