• WHEREAS, Article 359 and 360 of the Civil Code if the
Philippines provide that the government shall establish
Councils for the protection of Children
• WHEREAS, Sec.1 of RA No. 4881, otherwise known as an
Act creating a Council for the protection of Children in
Every City and Municipality of the Philippines and for

Council for the Protection of Children not only to
comply with the law, but more importantly, to craft
creative programs and projects for children

are gender-fair, culturally relevant and responsive, to
the needs of diverse groups of children from 0 to below
18 years of age
• Prepare Annual Work and Financial Plan (AWFP) for
children and recommend appropriations to the
