INTRODUCTION

There’s a rising demand for architects in the Philippines due to the

number of construction opportunities. But keep in mind that
Architecture is a competitive industry. There are thousands of
architecture graduates yearly.
Many of them also pass the architecture licensure exam to become
licensed architects. You can expect 1,000 to 2,000 newly licensed
architects every year.

“In this strand, you’ll encounter Earth Science, Pre-calculus and Basic
Calculus, and Physics — which are all subjects I’ve encountered as
“minors” during my university years.
This strand is particularly for those who will choose a career involving
Science and Mathematics and since Architecture is a Bachelor of
Science degree, this is the strand you might want to take.” – Karen
Elyssa, 2021 (on How to be an Architect in the Philippines)

WHY BE AN APPRENTICE?
They say that the exam is approximately 30% theoretical
and 70% based on experience which is why this 2-year
apprenticeship is required. That means, you’ll need to
experience a lot of learning in the field.
