Malawi has a subtropical climate with three seasons:

 Cool and dry season - May to August


 Hot and dry season - September to Mid-November
 Hot and wet season - Mid-November to April

 Malawi got its independence on 6th July 1964
 Nyasaland (previously called) became independent from British rule and
renamed itself Malawi
 Hastings Banda became the first president of Malawi; he also led the
country to independence.
