Here we proposed a finger print based exam hall authentication system. The system is meant to permit only users verified by their fingerprint scan and doesn't allow non verified users. Our system consists of a fingerprint scanner connected to microcontroller circuit. In registration mode the system allows to register user's information and save their identity with respective ID numbers within the system memory. After registration the person must scan his/her finger with the help of the scanner. The microcontroller checks the person's fingerprint. If the fingerprint valids the motor driver send a massage to open a door. This ensures only authorized users are allowed to enter the examination section and unauthorized users aren't allowed to enter the room Problem Statement 1. Universities or institution still implementing traditional way to record attendance for examination by using pen and paper. 2. A student must always bring relevant identification such as identity card exam slip to the exam and he/she forget to bring those items. 3. The process of taking students attendance manually is a difficult task as human can make mistake as well as the process can consume a lot of time Block Diagram components •At mega Microcontroller •PCB and Breadboards •R305 Fingerprint Sensor •LED •Crystal Oscillator •Transformer/Adapter •Resistors •Push Buttons •Capacitors •Switch •Transistors •IC •Cables and Connectors •IC Sockets •Diodes •Small Door Software •Arduino Compiler •MC Programming Language: C Centre Tap Transformer 1. A Centre tapped transformer works in more or less the same way as a usual transformer. 2. The difference lies in just a fact that its secondary winding is divided into two parts, so two individual voltage can be acquired across two line ends Rectifier 1. Centre tap rectifier converts AC into DC . 2. It uses two diodes that are connected to secondary of Transformer. R305 Finger print Sensor 1. R305 Finger print Module is a serial finger print scanner which can be directly connected to the PC’s com port. 2. R305 Finger print Sensor can easily be connected to any controller via MAX232 IC. 3. A Finger print Scanner performance a very basic function : It takes an image of your finger prints and compares it against the data of previously scanned finger print. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) 1. LCD is combination of two states of matter, the solid and the liquid. 2. LCD uses a liquid crystal to produce a visible image. 3. Liquid crystal displays are super-thin technology display screen that are generally used in laptop computer screen, TVs, cell phones and portable video games. ADVANTAGES •It is Highly Accurate •It is Unique and can never be Same for two Persons •It is the most Economical Technique •It is Easy to Use APPLICATION • Educational Institute • Industries • Offices • Security • Control system Reference •https://nevonprojects.com/fingerprint-based-exam-hall-authentication-project/ •https://www.irjet.net/archives/V7/i5/IRJET-V7I5896.
