INTRODUCTION
Students from different walks of live converge in a classroom for learning. They have different
capabilities and personalities, adding to the diversity that comes with learning institutions. As such, if
you want to be an effective teacher, you need to formulate and implement creative and innovative
‘- applies to all teachers despite the
strategies that are practical and meet the needs of students. This
duration they have been teaching. However, it can be difficult to know that works best with your
students and what won’t work.

You cannot apply a ‘one size fits all’ approach. You have to blend a range of different strategies
practical enough to your practice. To offer the best classroom experience to students, you need to
improve your teaching practice, build collegiality, and delve deeper into content knowledge.

- Example: In social studies, students analyze different historical events leading


to revolutions, such as the American and French Revolutions and then
conclude the causes of revolutions.

- This approach emphasizes learning through peer interaction and

- It integrates Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into


teaching and learning, using digital tools to enhance understanding.

various countries.

- This teacher-centered approach focuses on structured learning,


where the teacher maintains control over the pace, content, and

- Example: A teacher delivers a lecture on the Cold War, controlling


the flow of information while students take notes and answer specific
questions about the topic.
