Wire Wound
A thin wire, usually made of platinum, is wound around a core. It's highly
accurate and used in precise temperature measurements.
Thin Film
A thin layer of platinum is deposited onto a ceramic surface. It's cheaper,
compact, and responds quickly to temperature changes.
Surface Mount
A small, flat RTD that can be easily attached to a surface. It's space-saving
and commonly used in electronics and circuits.
Conclusion: RTD ( Resistance Temperature Detect
In conclusion, RTDs are temperature sensors that detect temperature changes through resistance. Wire wound RTDs
are highly accurate, thin film RTDs are compact and cost-effective, and surface mount RTDs are ideal for space-saving
applications. Each type has its specific advantages depending on the application.
