Course Description:
This course studies the
application of the theories,
tools, and findings of economic
analysis to managerial decision
making in all types of
organizations, both profit and
non-profit.
Students focus on the application of economic
models and rationale choice to business
decision making. Topics include an overview of
managerial economics; demand and supply;
costs of production and the organization of
the firm; market structure and pricing and
output decisions; pricing strategies; and the
economics of information and the role of
government in the marketplace.

GRADING SYSTEM

- The grading system is averaging, meaning the


semestral grade is computed by adding the
midterm and the final grades, then divided by two.
- There are three bases for grading: MAJOR
EXAMS, QUIZZES, CLASS STANDING.

- For quizzes and major examinations the passing


score is 60% equivalent to 75

Quizzes can be conducted at the


beginning, within, or after each session to

CLASS STANDING
The following are the bases in
the computation of the Class
Standing,:
1- attendance,
2- behavior class participation,
3- participation/recitation, and
4- assignments/performance

Class Standing: Attendance

Attendance will be checked every class encounter.


Within the first 15 minutes, you are considered late; beyond the 15
minutes, you are already considered absent. You may stay in class to
capture the lecture and discussion.

3 tardiness constitute one absence


11 absences for a one-hour class and 8 absences for a 1.5-hour class
corresponds to a failed grade due to absences (grade 70 or fda-failure due
to absences)

Class Standing: Behavior

Behavior includes compliance to policies,


rules, and regulations like wearing of
complete uniform. Be polite/courteous to
everyone (administrators, professors, even to
your classmates). No bullying, sitting on the
teacher’s chair/table.

Class Standing:
Participation/Recitation
For class participation, anything you will say
inside the class will be given points in a scale
of 1-5 and will be recorded as your daily class
participation.
Should you have not participated for the day,
you receive a score of 0 (equivalent to 70) for
the day.
 Unless stipulated, submit HARD COPIES of
Quiz Assignments (QAs) / Performance Tasks
(PTs) on the date and time specified. There
will always be timeline for each submission.
Timely submission of assignments shall
always be considered. Deductions for late
submissions: 2, 5, 10, 20 or a score of 0.
 If submission falls on a non-class day (due to

event/activity as announced by the Admin),


submission will be the on the first class day
following it.
ASSIGNMENTS/PERFORMANCE TASKS

Never submit your documents at the group chat,


personal message or at my email. All submissions
should be handed to me personally unless stipulated.
Follow the Specific Format suggested for submission.
Use word docs only, 12 times new roman font, with 1.5
line spacing.
