THEOREM

• The concept of congruence in geometry refers to figures that have the
same size and shape. In the case of triangles, two triangles are said to
be congruent if their corresponding sides and angles are equal. The
Triangles Congruent Theorem is a fundamental principle that helps
determine when two triangles are congruent to each other.
• Statement of the Theorem: The Triangles Congruent Theorem states
that two triangles are congruent if any of the following conditions are
met:
• Side-Side-Side (SSS) • Side-Angle-Side (SAS)
Congruence: If the three sides Congruence: If two sides and

another triangle, then the
triangles are congruent.
• Angle-Side-Angle (ASA) • Angle-Angle-Side (AAS)
Congruence: If two angles and Congruence: If two angles and

• Understanding Congruent Triangles: Before delving into proofs, it's
essential to understand what it means for triangles to be congruent.
Two triangles are considered congruent if their corresponding sides and
angles are equal. Congruent triangles have the same size and shape,
although they may be oriented differently. There are several methods
to establish congruence between triangles, such as Side-Side-Side
(SSS), Side-Angle-Side (SAS), Angle-Side-Angle (ASA), and Angle-Angle-
Side (AAS) criteria.
