wHAT IS ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT ?
An electrical circuit is a closed path of wires and electrical
components that allows electrical current to flow.

The two locations in a cell that must be connected to other

components are the positive terminals and the negative terminal.

A complete path throught which electricity can flow.

Components of electrical circuit
The basic components of an electric circuit are:
Voltage source: The source of electrical energy, such as a
battery or generator
Load: A device that uses electrical energy, such as a light
bulb, resistor, or motor
Conductive pathway: A path for the current to flow, such as
wires or printed etches on a circuit board
Switch: A device that opens and closes the circuit
Types of electrical circuit
Series circuit: In a series circuit, electrons flow in a single
direction through two or more loads, such as bulbs,
resistors, or LEDs. The current flow is identical through
each load.
Parallel circuit: In a parallel circuit, current can flow
through multiple paths. The current is divided into
branches as it passes through the branched components.
 LED circuit: An LED circuit powers a light-emitting diode
(LED).
What is Parallel circuit?
In a parallel circuit, each component is directly connected
to the power sources so the voltage at each component is
the same as the source voltage. Figure 4: The voltage of
the battery and each resistor is 8 volts because in A
parallel circuit contains multiple pathways, or branches.
 Each device in a parallel circuit is on a separate branch.
The current flowing through a parallel circuit divides as it
reaches each branchparallel circuits the voltage at each
component is equal to the source voltage.
What is series circuit?
 A series circuit is one in which all circuit elements are arranged in a
single path. In a series circuit, the current through all elements is the
same, but the voltage drop across each element is different. A
parallel circuit is one in A series circuit consists of a single pathway
through which electricity can flow
 All of the parts of a series circuit—power source, wires, and devices
—are connected along the same pathway; the devices are connected
one after another, with no branches. Current moves through one
device, then the next, and so onwhich circuit elements are arranged
in different branches of the circuit.

How can it be made
• To make an electrical circuit, you need the following components:
• Voltage source: A battery or the mains power supply
• Conductor: A flexible metal wire, usually made of copper, that allows
electric current to flow
• Switch: A device that can open the circuit to stop the flow of current
• Insulator: A substance that prevents electrons from moving easily
through it
• Electrical tape: Sticky tape that can be used to insulate joins and
prevent short circuits
continuation
• An electrical circuit is a closed loop that allows
current to flow. You can break the continuity of the
path to create an open circuit, which stops the
flow of current. This can be done by disconnecting
parts, using a switch, or with an electric
component like a transistor
