SYSTEM DESCRIPTIONS
Control Unit
A microcontroller is a small computer on a single
integrated circuit.
In modern terminology, it is similar to, but less
sophisticated than, a system on a chip.
The device is manufactured using Atmega high density
nonvolatile memory technology.
Driver
Driver Circuit is used to boost or amplify signals from
micro-controllers to control power switches in
semiconductor devices.
Ac Pump Motor
The pump is powered by an electric motor that drives
an impeller, or centrifugal pump.
Water pumps mostly employs AC induction motors.
Selection of the type of motor is depended on the
power requirement.
Solenoid Valve
A device for controlling the passage of fluid or air
through a pipe, duct, etc…
Especially an automatic device allowing movement in
one direction only.
Water Tank
Water tanks are used to provide storage of water for
use in many applications.
Potentio meter(POT-HG)
Potentiometer is the three terminal variable resistor
in which the resistance is manually varied to control
the flow of electric current. Potentiometer acts as an
adjustable voltage driver .
RELAY
A relay is an electrically operated switch current flowing
through the coil.
The relay creates a magnetic field, which attracts a lever
and changes the switch contacts.
The coil current can be on or off so relay have two
switch position and they are double throw (change over)
switches.
Relays allow one circuit to switch a second circuit,
which can be completely separated from the first.
There is no electrical connection inside the relay between
the two circuits; the link is magnetic and mechanical.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION
Result
Case 1
When underground tanker is full and overhead
tanker is empty.
The motor pump water from underground tanker to
the overhead tanker at the same time valve two (2)
open and valve one (1) close when the motor energized
Case 2
When both underground tanker and overhead tanker is
empty at the same time valve one and valve two open,
when the motor is de-energized.
Case 3
When underground tanker is empty and overhead
tanker is full at the same time valve one open and valve
two close, when the motor is de-energized.
Case 4
When both under ground tanker and overhead tanker
is full at the same time valve one and valve two close,
when the motor is de-energized.
CHAPTER FIVE
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
Conclusion
The system was designed successfully using Arduino
microcontroller for two level.
Automatic control system has been introduce to
control water level (low level and high level) in a tank.
The main goal of this project is to provide an
autonomous system that will prevent a water pump and
maximize the efficiency of water movement from one
tank to another.
The Automatic water control will prevent the water
pump and it will be always ready to transfer water to the
secondary tank whenever the underground tank is full.
Recommendation
We strongly recommend that government should
set up industries for production of basic electronic
component locally and establish
Future Scope
Main intension of this project work is to establish a
flexible, economical and easy configurable system
which can solve water losing problems.
In the near future as home automation web based
water level controlling system can be designed,
through which the system can be controlled from any
place via internet through mobile phone.
