Single value constraint
[edit]Use of single-value constraint (Q19474404) is wrong in this case, there can be several identifiers for one and the same person. Jeblad (talk) 06:11, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
- Ser slikt ut ja. Skal vi bare fjerne single-value constraint (Q19474404) da? Hilsen Kjetil_r (talk) 09:54, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
- Tok ut denne nå. Hilsen Kjetil_r (talk) 18:08, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
Country for this item
[edit]Not sure about country (P17) for this property. The authorities of the ids are sited in Norway, especially HistReg itself, but the described subjects are not necessarily Norwegians. Not really sure what P17 describes in this case. Jeblad (talk) 06:14, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
Formatter URL
[edit]Note that the formatter URL is not according to the proposal, but that https://histreg.no is correct. Digitalakrkivet has the actual data, while HistReg has the person record. For our purpose the HistReg landing page is correct, it acts as a proxy for the other sites. Jeblad (talk) 06:19, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
How to create an entry at HDR
[edit]Birgit Tollefsen Strickland writes in September 2019: "Just click on the blue box: Søk etter lignende personer (look for a similar person) and fill in first name (Fornavn) last name (Etternavn),Year born (Fødselsår) Date of birth (Fødselsdato), Place of birth (Fødested). I only filled in a few of these info and got good results for what I was looking for. First, click on histreg.no to get you to the site." --RAN (talk) 23:14, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
How to create an entry at HDR
[edit]HDR at http://histreg.no contains entries matching those from the Digital Archives of Norway. These entries have the potential to be aggregated under one common ID number. For instance the Digital Archives of Norway contains entries for each person in the 1865 Norway census and the 1875 Norway census. The same person will have an entry in each census already at HDR and it is possible to aggregate them under one ID.
For instance https://www.digitalarkivet.no/view/8/pe00000001151405 is the url at the Digital Archives of Norway for the emigration of Alfred Ingvald Naess (Q4317707). From the search page of HDR at http://histreg.no (Søksiden) there is a place to cut and paste the ID from the document at Digital Archives of Norway. I added "pe00000001151405" and this has the "Norwegian historical register of persons ID" for Alfred Naess. "pe00000001151405" is not a unique ID since it is also the ID for the emigration document at the Digital Archives of Norway. See http://histreg.no/index.php/person/pe00000001151405 This has led to confusion by users (see the discussion on adding the ID to Wikidata and some comments on this page).
The next step is to aggregate the multiple entries into a single ID. Go to one entry at HDR and the hit the blue button that translates as "Search for similar people" then hit "search". Check the boxes of the ones you want to aggregate. Click "Add to cart". Click on the documents again, then hit "Link together". This should link them, but the process is not intuitive.
At HDR birth and death information can be added and there is room for a biography. You can also link to other members of the family at HDR by adding in their "Norwegian historical register of persons ID". --RAN (talk) 16:33, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
