The Authors League of America is a membership corporation organized under the laws of the State of New York... In August of 1954, the Authors League of America was reorganized and consisted then, as it does now, of just the Authors Guild and the Dramatists Guild. In December of 1954, the Writers Guild of America, East, Inc. was incorporated as a membership corporation under the laws of the State of New York and was composed of the old Radio Writers Guild, the old Television Writers Group and the old Screen Writers Guild...The contracts...are now within the jurisdiction of the Writers Guild of America, East, Inc. with the consent of all of the parties involved.
