Typo
[edit]Typo is now fixed and Manual of the Legislature of New Jersey (Q124389003) created as a reference. You can just fix errors yourself when there is no reference. If there is a reference with wrong data, you can deprecate the data point. I also loaded the lists from the manual. RAN (talk) 19:56, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for creating that reference and fixing that one value. Though its more than one edit, there are values all within the sequence of that position which need adjustment both in Wikidata and EN Wiki. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directors_of_New_Netherland highlights the issues. I only linked to the starting discrepancy. Wolfgang8741 (Ohio University) (talk) 20:14, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Also apologies, I edited the wrong page. The original post was intended for your talk page. Wolfgang8741 (Ohio University) (talk) 20:35, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- I find an error a week, but am blocked at English Wikipedia from correcting them, so I just let them be at Wikipedia and correct at Wikidata. Have you been creating the data table like I did here: Talk:Q3112728, it gives error messages by looking at the start and end dates. You correct the errors at the person's entry then hit refresh at the talk page and the table is updated. It took me a month to do all the popes. --RAN (talk) 00:37, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, I'll tackle the Wikipedia side later. I haven't created the data table professional work time/profile, but on my personal profile (@Wolfgang8741) I've worked on a few positions/histories leveraging the table validation you mention as part of the Every Politician Wikidata project. I happened to be looking at the position as an example with another at our Library and noticed the discrepancy. I'll get to fixing what you can't eventually, but I try to alert/delegate when possible. Thanks for sharing and fixing what you can. Wolfgang8741 (Ohio University) (talk) 14:58, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
