- Support, no reason for this to not be a thing when MUSE journal ID (P5559), MUSE article ID (P8101) and MUSE publisher ID (P10867) already exist. — Huntster (t @ c) 16:57, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- Support, but with books you have to make sure that this identifier is put on the item for the particular edition that MUSE offers, and not on the item for the work. Looking at Lovecraft: Disturbing the Universe (Q112507186), it does not follow Wikidata guidelines for an item for a work and an item for each version, edition, etc. It has some work properties on it and some manifestation properties. It should be an instance of "version, edition, or translation", for example, but instead it currently says "book". It has statements for ISBN-13 but also OCLC work, which are not supposed to be on the same item. UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 18:52, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Susmuffin: it seems to me like UWashPrincipalCataloger disagrees with the examples you gave as yours refer to the work and not the edition. What do you think, should there be different examples? ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 18:09, 4 December 2022 (UTC)

- Comment this is not ready for creation - it has not addressed my concerns about following the model for works and editions. 97.113.32.249 22:10, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- Susmuffin, can you clarify whether this property is meant to be used on work items or edition items? Harej (talk) 17:51, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Update Trying to resolve the situation, I've changed the examples. The site clearly refers to a specific edition, as it provides language, year, publisher, number of pages, ISBN, etc. By looking at here, it seems the user did not know (or care) about this distinction, as also pointed out by UWashPrincipalCataloger. Given no further objection, I'd be going to mark the property as ready. --Horcrux (talk) 09:54, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
