深冻行动

深冻行动（英語：Operation Deep Freeze）是从1955年—1956年开始的一系列南极洲科学考察的代号。

这系列考察是响应1957年–1958年的国际地球物理年。美国与英国、法国、日本、挪威、智利、阿根廷和苏联同意前往地球考察得最少的地方——南极。其目标是促进世界认识南极洲的海道测量和天气系统、冰川移动和海洋生物。美国海军奉命支持美国科学家作他们的研究部份。

深冻行动Ⅰ预备建立一所永久研究站，以便以后深冻行动作更详尽研究。这次行动在南极洲的夏天进行，从1955年11月到1956年4月。
