Tahikininski receptori pripadaju familiji G protein spregnutih receptora. Njihovi endogeni ligandi su tahikinini. Poznata su tri tahikininska receptora kod sisara: NK1, NK2 i NK3. Ovi receptori uzrokuju aktivaciju fosfolipaze C, i produkciju inozitol trifosfata (takozvana Gq sprega).
