Best tide is usually high tide but varies with wave type and size. When swells come in the periods between them can be quite short making it hard to paddle out. Wind is usually a menace unless you're hitting it during dawn patrol. Best months are usually October- March/April, but summer can be hit with cyclones and hurricanes(but other than that it's flat.
