Cheetor always prospers.

If you need someone to sneak into Decepticon strongholds and steal their precious data, Cheetor is the first one to step up and get the job done. The only thing more impressive than his skills and track record is his ego. Smug and self-confident, Cheetor loves the praise he gets from a completed mission, and is always ready with a sharp retort to put others down just to make himself look better.

"Cheetor? But I look more like a black panther..."
  • Cheetor with Cliffjumper (Super-Con, 2003)
Released in the seventh wave of Armada Super-Cons, Cheetor is a redeco and retooling of the Beast Wars Transmetal Cheetor, transforming into a robotic cheetah. He also has a third "flight" mode with fold-out rocket boosters in his cat-mode sides. His tail becomes a battle whip in robot mode. The rocket boosters have been retooled to feature Powerlinx plugs suitable for Mini-Cons with sockets on their vehicle-mode back-ends, like his pack-in partner Cliffjumper, or the Space Mini-Con Team's Sky Blast.
As a hasty addition to the Armada toyline to meet demand, Cheetor was not available in Takara's normal retail Legend of the Microns line. He was, however, offered in Japan as a "USA Edition" release, sold exclusively through Toys"R"Us's web site.
This mold was also used to make Beast Wars Metals Ravage and BotCon 2001's Tigatron, and was the basis for the non-toy character Cataclysm.

Notes

  • Likely just a coincidence, but the majority of Armada Cheetor's color scheme matches that of an original prototype of Beast Wars Transmetal Cheetor during one of the various torso-hinge modification stages.[1]

Foreign names

  • Japanese: Cheetor (チーター Chītā)
