Chromatron is a neutral Transformer from the novels portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Chromatron was a renowned artist in the days before the Autobot/Decepticon War. He lived as part of a colony of artisan manufacturers around the Lower Pool of Polyhex.

Inspired by suddenly-prominent revolutionary Megatron, Chromatron was working on his latest project, a projection model portrait of the leader, when terrorists inspired by (and perhaps directed by) that same Megatron detonated a series of bombs within Polyhex as part of a multi-prong strike.
