Doctor Arkeville
From Transformers Wiki
The name or term "Arkeville" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Arkeville (disambiguation). |
- Dr. Arkeville is a Decepticon-allied human from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Doctor Arkeville is a self-proclaimed Evil Genius who often allies himself with the Decepticons, but whose only true allegiance is to himself. The nature and history of his mechanical attachments and limbs have never been explained. Like all mad scientists, Dr. Arkeville has designs to rule the planet Earth. Also, like all mad scientists, his success rate is sorely lacking.

Dr. Arkeville was offered the chance to rule the world by Megatron, in exchange for the Decepticons using his hypno-chips to hypnotize humans to use as slaves. When Megatron then revealed the first part of his plan to Arkeville — to transport Cybertron into Earth's orbit via space bridge and create energon from the natural disasters it would cause—Arkeville was hesitant. Megatron just ordered him to send his slaves to defend the space bridge from the Autobots, who refused to fight back against humans. The Ultimate Doom, Part 1
However, when Soundwave used his audio disruptor waves, the hypno-chips malfunctioned and the slaves escaped. Arkeville told Megatron he needed new ones, and the Decepticons started abducting people from around the world to collect energon from the disasters. When Megatron sent one slave to Cybertron, Arkeville told him that he couldn't control his slaves if they weren't on Earth, but got the response that his control computer had already been replicated on Cybertron. The Ultimate Doom, Part 2
Arkeville used his slaves to construct the sea funnel, per Megatron's plan of using tidal waves to power giant generators and rapidly fill energon cubes. As the sea funnel came together, Arkeville protested that its structure was not strong enough to withstand the tidal waves and that this would drown all the slaves working near the generators, but Megatron just mocked him. After an heated exchange between Megatron and Starscream, the Decepticon leader told Arkeville to stay away from the backstabbing Air Commander. Arkeville started pondering if Starscream may be the ally he really wanted. Whether or not he made a decision didn't matter, as Starscream just kidnapped him after Megatron had left him to drown in the tidal waves with his slaves. The human mad scientist attempted to produce energon cubes from his brain power for Starscream, but the Decepticon rebuffed him, claiming Arkeville's brain couldn't fill one cube. As Starscream grumbled that he wouldn't be able to take over the Decepticon forces, he and the doctor were discovered by Megatron. Luckily for Starscream, the remaining slaves started malfunctioning due to the Autobots' tampering, which distracted Megatron and let Starscream escape with Arkeville. The Ultimate Doom, Part 3
Starscream and Arkeville took off to Arkeville's secret lab (which was opened by Arkeville saying "Open Sesame"), where the doctor warned Starscream not to mess with his Exponential Generator, as it could destroy Earth. Starscream promptly programmed the generator to reach its maximum capacity in eight hours, planning to absorb the energy from the planet's destruction. Arkeville didn't like this idea one bit, and suggested that he stay behind and make sure "nothing goes wrong", only to be knocked down and brought along to Cybertron. Out of Starscream's sight, Arkeville tried to stop the energy collectors via computer, only to receive a severe electric shock which knocked him unconscious. He later woke up strapped to a table, having been rebuilt more fully into a cyborg by Medicroids in order to save his life.
When the explosion failed to happen as expected, Starscream tried to order Arkeville to Earth to investigate, only for the scientist to sarcastically remind him that he was immobilized by a mechanical chair. Grinning evilly, Arkeville noted that Starscream was the only one who knew how the timing mechanism worked, and that HE was the one who had to go to Earth... Countdown to Extinction

Story of Binaltech
A member of the Concurrence, a cabal of influential humans dedicated to ridding Earth of the Transformers, Dr. Arkeville used a combination of his hypno-chip technology along with Bombshell's cerebro-shells to take control of several members of the Binaltech Project. Arise! Evil Binaltechs The Concurrence then forced them to revive Decepticons injured by Swindle's Cosmic Rust as Binaltechs. They intended to use the Decepticon Binaltechs to eliminate the Autobots and then vanquish the remaining Decepticons, turning the solar system into a Robot-Free "resort". BT World
In a timeline that later diverged from the "main history", Doctor Arkeville sought to create a Decepticon leader more powerful than Megatron. Using a subspace-impulse cloner, Arkeville copied Optimus Prime's personality, but had it reprogrammed to twist it towards evil. During the construction of this Nemesis Prime, a mysterious spark hijacked his creation. Nemesis Prime eventually rejected the spark and returned to Arkeville via AI control, where Arkeville granted it life through a transpace sublink to an evil and powerful force. Binal Time

Yokohama Decepticon Secret Base
In 2014 at a secret base in Yokohama, Doctor Arkeville, perhaps under the influence of Unicron, cloned Optimus Prime, using stickers to turn him evil and planned to plant a "spirit of evil" via a Dark Energon cookie. Just as he was about to, Yokohama Prime broke into his lab and forced the Optimus clone's inherent sense of justice out with his own Autobot Cookie. The true winner of the struggle came from another time as NAVI-ko transwarped into the room and claimed "Nemesis Prime" with her Yokohama Decepticon Cookie. Nemesis and NAVI-ko took their leave.
After it was revealed that Nemesis Prime's life was meant for destroying the Transformers Expo and the crisis averted, Doctor Arkeville took a glance at the Expo from outside while eating one of his Dark Energon cookies and having a Unicronian symbol on his head. Yokohama Decepticon Secret Base

Alternators
Unbeknownst to the Concurrence, Dr. Arkeville had his own agenda. Over many years and with stolen technology, Dr. Arkeville constructed a Binaltech warrior of his own, meant to be the greatest military commander in history: Nemesis Prime. To ensure that his creation be powerful enough to counter any Autobot threat, Arkeville managed to tap into an extra-spatial power source. Nemesis Prime bio
