Synopsis

Optimus Prime thwarts an attack led by Devastator on the planet Earth! Having already toppled the titan, Optimus shifts his sights onto Starscream as the Decepticon jet swoops down to attack him.

Later, Grimlock transforms out of his "undectetable everyday form" to battle Starscream himself! Starscream readies to unleash a torrent of "mega-blast missiles" against his opponent.

Elsewhere, Sideswipe and Jazz come upon the Constructicons in the middle of a desert. Sideswipe leads the charge against the evil robots, and clashes against Long Haul, in order to keep safe all of mankind!

Finally, Optimus Prime declares that he wants you to win an entire set of Transformers toys! What a guy! But he warns... time is running out!

Notes

  • Starting at the end of November 1992, a theatrical ad for the Generation 2 toyline ran in front of various G- and PG-rated movies (including Home Alone II) at Cineplex Odean and Screenvision theaters across the United States.[1] The Sweepstakes Offer! pamphlet was given out to children at those theaters as part of this promotion.
  • The contest's winner would be the recipient of a large amount of figures from the Generation 2 toyline. The prize consisted of the following: A complete set of the Constructicons (Bonecrusher, Scrapper, Mixmaster, Long Haul, Hook, and Scavenger) and by extension Devastator; the Dinobots Snarl, Slag, and Grimlock; the jets Starscream and Ramjet, and the Autobots Jazz, Sideswipe, Inferno, and Optimus Prime.
  • The coupon for $2.00 off an Optimus Prime figure expired on December 31, 1992.
