The Transformers: The Complete Works was published by Marvel UK as a series of hardcover books, almost identical in format to the Annuals. As noted on the colophon page, Part 1 reprints the first four issues of the Marvel UK Transformers comics, though a more accurate description might be that it reprints the first two issues of the Marvel US comics, in that the material is presented as two "chapters" rather than four and in full colour.
Contents
- Inside covers - artwork of Optimus Prime and Megatron in robot and alternate modes with Cybertron in the background. Inside the front cover, this is overlaid with a brief prehistory of how the war came to start on Cybertron which namechecks great warriors such as Prowl, Jazz and Sideswipe for the "noble Autobots" and Ravage, Soundwave and Starscream for the "fearsome Decepticons".
- "The Transformers"
- "Power Play!"
Cover
- Reuse of UK issue #1's cover showing Optimus Prime fighting Soundwave and Buzzsaw in spaaaace, by Jerry Paris.
Notes
- Intriguingly, while Cybertron itself is shown to be the usual metallic planet studded with oversized buildings, it is depicted as having a rocky, cratered moon in the (uncredited) inside cover artwork.
