Transformers: G-2 (story page)
From Transformers Wiki
|
The primary Transformers: G-2 story pages ran in TV Magazine from August 1995 to February 1996. The storyline was written by Hidetsugu Yoshioka and, aside from a few CG rendered characters, also illustrated by him.
The G-2 story pages continued from where the Operation Combination storyline left off, taking place within the universe of the TV series. The G-2 story pages were supplemented by the G-2 pack-in comics, which often expanded upon particular battles.

Notes
- Though Megatron has been vanquished, the Japanese G-2 storyline does not end here! Ten years later, through tech spec bios and pack-in comics written by Hirofumi Ichikawa and drawn by Hidetsugu Yoshioka, e-HOBBY revived and continued the storyline.
- G-2 continues in the Galvatron II bio, where a Galvatron from an alternate reality travels to this timeline, intending to conquer the universe with his fleet of Warworlds.
- Next, in the Laser Rod Ultra Magnus bio, Ultra Magnus uses the Reconfiguration Matrix within the Matrix of Leadership to resurrect himself in a new body with which to counter Galvatron II.
- The "Hybrid Style Convoy Black Version" pack-in comic takes place next, with Optimus Prime donning a new Black body form to rescue Ultra Magnus from Galvatron II.
- Then, in the "MP-1B Cybertron Commander / Convoy Black Ver." pack-in comics, Wheeljack and Ga'mede use the Black Body technology to create an army of Optimus Prime clones called "Eldedroids" to battle the renewed Decepticon forces, now lead by Galvatron II (Megatron being deposed as leader).
- And then in "MP-3G Destron Air Commander / Starscream Ghost Ver.", the Autobots fight a time-displaced ghost Starscream.
- The post-G-2 storyline would then lay fallow for a few years until Hayato Sakamoto's Legends and Unite Warriors stories continued the events of the late 2030s.
