Method Statement For Damp Proof Membrane

This work method statement outlines the process for applying a damp proof membrane (DPM) during construction of a building at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. It defines DPM as a membrane used to prevent moisture transmission through concrete. The scope is to define the work method for DPM application. Responsibilities of the project manager, site supervisor, and architect are identified. The work sequence involves cleaning and preparing the area, measuring and cutting the DPM sheets with 400mm overlaps, and ensuring no damage during installation. Inspection forms will be used to check the quality of the work and ensure materials meet standards. Safety equipment like PPE must be worn.
