Story behind the logo


Aldo gucci,one of Guccios three sons, became a part of the House of Gucci in
1933. It was Aldo who actually designed the now iconic Gucci logo. Often
considered as one of the most popular and instantly recognizable fashion logos
in the world, the emblem is synonymous with luxury, grandeur, finesse and
quality.

The memorable double-G logo of Gucci comprises of the two interlocking,
perfectly-executed Gs, inspired by the fathers Guccio Guccis initials,
having an endless and dynamic quality about them.

Gucci is an Italian company founded in Florence & is considered to be


the most recognized fashion brand all over the world.
Gucci is known for its high quality leather products & hand making
shoes.
Gucci accelerated internationalization in 1989 and targeted young
youth.
Gucci, right now is operating more than 450 stored globally .

He was an Italian business man &


fashion designer.

He is the founder of the house of


Gucci and son of an ordinary
merchant.

The dream of Gucci first started in 1921,


after he had gained experience on the luxury
luggage famous people carried in Savoy
Hotel in London.
After the World War II, due to material
shortage, Gucci created handbags made with
cotton canvas instead of leather which was
quite famous back then.
After Gucci launched its first stores in Italy,
Gucci expanded to Manhattan in 1953, which
was considered the first Italian luxury store
in U.S.A.
The last 20 years of the company were tough
and things started to go from bad to worse.
But in 1993, Tom Ford was hired and he was
the one to put Gucci back to the top.
After Tom Ford was hired, Gucci generated
4.2 billion by 2008 and it was known as the
biggest selling Italian brand in the world.
Later on, Gucci launched a childrens line in
