Clark's O.N.T. or J. & P. Coats Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30:
Small Ball:
Clark's O.N.T.2 balls of White, Ecru, or any color. or

J. & P. Coats1 ball of White or Ecru, or 2 balls of any color.


Big Ball:
Clark's O.N.T.1 ball of White or Ecru. or
J. & P. Coats1 ball of White, Ecru, or any color.
Milward's steel crochet hook No. 10.
Completed doily measures about 11 inches in diameter.
Gauge: 5 ch-loops measure ? inch.
Starting at center, ch 7, join with sl st. 1st rnd: Ch 3, 25 d c in ring; join to 3rd st of ch-3. 2nd rnd: Ch 4, * d c in next d c, ch 1.
Repeat from * 24 times; join to 3rd st of ch-4. 3rd rnd: Sl st in next sp, ch 4, d c in next ch-1 sp, * ch 1, d c in same sp as last d c;
(ch 1, d c in next ch-1 sp) 4 times. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 1, d c in same ch-1 sp as last d c, ch 1; join. 4th rnd: Sl st
in next sp, ch 4, d c in next ch-1 sp; (ch 1, d c in next ch-1 sp) 5 times; * ch 1, d c in same ch-1 sp as last d c; (ch 1, d c in next ch-1

* around; join. 24th rnd: 13 s c in each loop around. 25th rnd: * Skip 1 s c, s c in next 12 s c. Repeat from * around. 26th rnd: Sl st
to center of 1st loop, * ch 9, s c in 6th s c of next loop. Repeat from * around. 27th and 28th rnds: Repeat 24th and 25th rnds.
29th rnd: S c in next 6 sc; * (ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hooka p made) twice; s c in same place as last s c, s c in next 5 s c, skip 1
s c, s c in next 6 s c. Repeat from * around, ending with s c in last 5 s c, sl st in 1st s c made. Fasten off. Starch, stretch and press.
