AM Demodulator MC1496

This circuit demonstrates AM demodulation using a 4-quadrant multiplier IC. The full modulated input signal is applied to the linear input pair of the IC. The signal is also clipped using a comparator to remove modulation and applied to the carrier inputs. This multiplies the modulated and clipped signals to recover the baseband audio signal at the output. Simulation results show the circuit successfully demodulates an AM signal and recovers the audio content.
