Mixed Research
Mixed Research
Mixed-method is a way to come up with creative alternatives to traditional ways to conceive and implement evaluation.
A mixed research design is a general type of research that includes quantitative and qualitative research data, techniques and methods.
This design involves research that uses mixed data (numbers and text) and additional means (statistics and text analysis).
A mixed method uses both deductive and inductive scientific method, has multiple forms of data collecting and produces eclectic and pragmatic reports.
Mixed Model
MIXED METHOD
A research in which the researcher uses quantitative data for one stage of the study and qualitative for the second stage of the research.
MIXED MODEL A research in which the researcher uses both quantitative and qualitative data in one or two stages of the research process.
ADVANTAGES Tells the story behind the numbers Triangulation of sources Comes at the topic from more than one point of view Can deal with a wider range of variables One methods weakness can be compensated by the strength of the other
DISADVANTAGES More resources needed More expertise needed More time spent on analysis Requires research participants who dont mind multiple interventions Expensive Sometime harder to interpret and combine results
