Data Communication Question Answer

Data communication involves sharing information locally or remotely. There are five key components of data communication: the message, sender, receiver, transmission media, and protocols. The characteristics of effective data communication are delivery to the correct destination, accuracy, timeliness without delay, and minimal jitter in packet arrival times. Transmission media options include radio waves, twisted cable, coaxial cable, and optical fiber cable. A transmitter is an electronic device that produces radio waves using an antenna to transmit signals. A transmission system transmits signals, such as electrical, optical, or radio signals, from one place to another.

Question 1. what is data communication ? Answer :When we communicate, we are sharing information. This sharing can be local or remote.

Between individuals, local communication usually occurs face to face, while remote communication takes place over distance. Question 2. What are the characteristics of data communication? 1: delivery : The system must deliver data to the correct destination. Data must be received by the intended device or user and only by that device or user. 2) accuracy : The system must deliver the data accurately. Data that have been altered in transmission and left uncorrected are unusable 3) timeliness: The system must deliver data in a timely manner. Data delivered late are useless. This kind of delivery is called real-time transmission 4) Jitter. Jitter refers to the variation in the packet arrival time. It is the uneven delay in the delivery of audio or video packets. For example, let us assume that video packets are sent every 3D ms. If some of the packets arrive with 3D-ms delay and others with 4D-ms delay, an uneven quality in the video is the result

What are Data communication component ? We have five component of data communication:1: message : a message is an information that to be communicate . a massage can be text ,photo, audio, video . 2: sender :- a sender is a device that sends data massage. It can be computer, television ,telephone and so on. 3: receiver : a receiver is a device that receives data massage . it can be computer television ,telephone and so on. 4: transmission media : a transmission media is the physical path by which a massage gets travel . for example coaxical cable, fiber optical cable, twisted pair , radio wave 5: protocol : A protocol is a set of rules that govern data communications. It represents an agreement between the communicating devices. Without a protocol, two devices may be connected but not communicating, just as a person speaking French cannot be understood by a person who speaks only Japanese.

Radio wave

Twisted cable

Coaxial cable

Optical fiber cable

Question What is network? A network is a set of device that connected by communication link. A node can be computer , printer and other device capable of send or receiving data by other node.

Question what is transmitter? Answer :In electronics and telecommunications a transmitter is an electronic device which, with the aid of an antenna, produces radio waves. Question What is transmission system? Answer :In telecommunications a transmission system is a system that transmits a signal from one place to another. The signal can be an electrical, optical or radio signal.
