Brief Tutorial On Gantt Charts

Henry Gantt developed Gantt charts in the early 20th century as a visual tool to show scheduled and actual progress of projects. Gantt charts represent the timing of tasks required to complete a project with horizontal bars showing the expected duration of each task. As a project progresses, the chart is updated by filling in the bars proportionally to the work accomplished, allowing managers to quickly see project progress and identify delays or areas ahead of schedule. Gantt charts are simple yet effective project planning tools still widely used today.
