PURPOSE O* T'E JOB
To provide business support to Team Managers and provide full team support across designated team(s).
Production of data for the team and running local reports to achieve good standards of data quality and to
assist in meeting performance targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide designated Team Managers with day to day business support in order to assist their
effectiveness and efficiency including organising business meetings and minute-taking.
To ensure that appropriate support is provided to designated teams at all times
To assist in ensuring good standards in data quality and to undertake a programme of necessary data
clean up with the team
To undertake general clerical andor word-processing duties! including maintenance of computer and
manual records! maintaining the case file system! enquires! photocopying and the distribution of material.
To undertake telephone and reception duties as required providing first point of contact for the customer
care needs of service users.
To maintain databases and case files in accordance with responsibilities detailed within "dult procedures.
To raise orders on #M$ as required.
To undertake routine financial transactions including the receipting of cash and maintaining financial
records as required.
To provide induction on office systems including electronic processes for new employees within the team.
To provide and participate in training and development activities as necessary to ensure up to date
knowledge and skills.
To undertake other duties appropriate to the post as required by the %usiness $upport Manager.

RELATIONS'IPS
The post holder will work closely with *irectorate $upport colleagues and will also be required to maintain
effective relationships with staff at all levels within "dult $ocial 'are! other 'ouncil *epartments! )lected
Members! e0ternal agencies! service users! carers and the general public.
P'YSICAL CONDITIONS
The post holder will be community based working from an "rea 1ffice. &eeds 'ity 'ouncil operates a
non-smoking policy therefore all offices are non smoking environments.
SOCIAL CONDITIONS
The post will require a minimum of /2 hours per week to fulfil the responsibilities of the 3ob. 4ormal office
hours are 5./.am 6 7...pm Monday 6 Thursday and 5./.am 6 8./.pm on a #riday. (owever a fle0 time
scheme is available.
ECONO(IC CONDITIONS
Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with collective agreements negotiated from time
to time by the 4ational ,oint 'ouncil for &ocal 9overnment $ervices set out in the 4ational "greement on
Pay and 'onditions of service and as supplemented by local collective agreements reached with trade
unions recognised by the 'ouncil and by the :ules of the 'ouncil.
