General Instructions:

(iv) There is no overall choice. However, an internal choice has been

Arrange the basic forces of nature according to the ascending order of their
magnitude.
Find the number of significant figures in the following.

absolute, relative error and percentage error.

A physical quantity x is calculated from x = ab2/ c. Calculate the % error in x,


when the % error in measuring a, b and c are 4, 2 and 3.

Given that the relation between volume, pressure and temperature of a gas is

a) If the two sticks are placed side by side, what is the difference in their

b) If the two sticks are placed end to end, what is their total length to
appropriate significant figures?
The radius of a sphere is measured with an error of 1%. What would be the
error in volume of the sphere ?

Y = p + qt + rt2 , where Y is in metres and t in seconds. What are the units of


p, q and r?

Check whether the following equations are dimensionally correct.
