Letter From the Exalted Ruler


Dear Elks,
Due to our Exalted Ruler being very busy with the renovations in our
lounge the past 2 weeks, he has not had time to produce a letter this
month. He does want to extend his appreciation to all those that are
helping with this project. Looking better every day!

I would like to thank everyone that came out and helped


with the Auction and Benefit for my nephew with Lou Gehrigs disease. So many brought wonderful desserts to auction off and others donated other items and some just donated money. Cassie and Gary have both expressed how
much they appreciated all the support & kindness that
was shown. We raised over $8500.00 and Im still receiving donations. He can now have the esophagus surgery
that their insurance was only going to pay a small portion
of.
I would also like to thank those that helped in the
lounge. We couldnt have done it without you. We had a
very good night! Thank you all again for everything.
This is what Elks do... right??? Elks Care, Elks Share!

A VETERAN
I was what others did not want to be.
I went where others did not want to go
And did what others failed to do.
I asked nothing from those who gave
Nothing and reluctantly accepted
The thought of eternal loneliness should I fail.
I have seen the face of terror.
I have felt the sting of fear and I have
