HFSS Tutorial1

The document describes the steps to design an edge-fed patch antenna in HFSS using parametric sweeps to optimize the design. Key steps include determining initial patch size, feed line width, substrate and air box sizes, assigning boundaries and materials, performing frequency sweeps from 1-3 GHz, and using parametric sweeps to optimize patch width and length to achieve less than -20 dB return loss at 2.42 GHz. The final design has a patch width of 120mm and length of 36.6mm meeting requirements.
