Armature Core Is The Rotor of The Machine. It Is: Motor Housing Commutator Armature Winding

Motor housings provide protection for moving parts inside electric motors from damage while also serving as a grounding source. The commutator is the moving part that periodically reverses current direction between the rotor and external circuit. The armature winding is the main current-carrying coil in which rotation induces electromotive force, and is wound around the cylindrical armature core which has slots and is made of thin laminated steel disks.

Motor Housing provide protection for the moving

parts inside (both from receiving damage and causing

damage) , and in many cases a grounding source.

Motor Housing

Commutator is
the
moving
part
of
a
rotary electrical switch in
certain
types
of electric
motors and electrical generators that periodically reverses
the current direction between the rotor and the external
circuit.

Armature Winding

Armature Winding is the main current-carrying

winding in which the electromotive force or counter-emf of
rotation is induced.
Armature Core is the rotor of the machine. It is
cylindrical in shape with slots to carry armature winding.
The armature is built up of thin laminated circular steel
disks for reducing eddy current losses.
Stator is the static part of rotary electromagnetic
devices. It remains stationary at all times while the rotor
spins either around or within it.
Poles serve two purposes; they support field coils
and spread out the flux in air gap uniformly.
Brush is a device which conducts current
between stationary wires and moving parts, most
commonly in a rotating shaft.
Gear box is a set of gears with its casing,
especially in a motor vehicle.
Terminal Box is a piece of electrical equipment
that contains leads from the equipment, ready for
connection to a power source. The box is usually
provided with a removable cover.
