ABSTRACT
The need for online Appointment scheduler for taking appointments online is a serious demand. Corporate
Employees needs their appointments to be scheduled according to their job timings to ensure that the work
life balance is not distorted and also to ensure access to hospitals providing relevant specialists. Corporate
employees undergo many challenges to consult appropriate specialist at the relevant hospital like
identifying whether the hospital has a tie up with their company, whether the employee is eligible to avail
the benefits of the package he/she is enrolled for among the set of packages the hospital has provided to the
company. Whenever a patient is in, they need Specialists with relevant specialisation to attend their
treatment and this needs scheduling mechanisms to handle the bottleneck that might occur during this
process. In this paper, we present a web based application appointment scheduling system for managing
corporate patients. Many other areas are being identified which this Web Based application can be updated
with. These new improvements are essential for the corporates to reduce the ergonomic hazards at their
offices.
I.INTRODUCTION
In order to ensure maximum resource utilization, corporates follow several practices to ensure ergonomic
hazard reduction. These practices include providing health care packages that motivates the employees to
have timely checkups as well as treatments. Efficient scheduling practices result in avoiding the bottle necks
that might popup while taking appointments, because of which now-a-days they became highly critical to
both hospital and the corporates. To ensure resourceful scheduling of patient appointments, it is highly
essential to evaluate the quality as well as manage the existing scheduling practices. Generally, most of the
patients complain about their valuable personal time that would be wasted for unnecessary delays since they
start to the hospital till they are attended to. This is one of the key reasons regarding why the appointments
scheduling must be skillfully handled.
The proposed Web Application for scheduling the corporate employee appointments facilitates the better
health services and being a web based app results in further benefits. These include ergonomic hazard
reduction at corporate offices, better resource utilization in hospitals, unnecessary documentation as well as
queues can be avoided which helps in using this time for other important services. In addition to this,
reminders will be provided to the patients per the requirement and it eliminates the manual reminders to be
sent to the patients by the hospital staff. Web Based scheduling process also adds the benefit of selecting the
available appointment slot 24 by 7. This eliminates the issue of patient showing up physically at the hospitals
during service hours. Details of all the hospital visits of the patient that are booked through Web Applications
can be easily maintained. Doctors can use these records to understand the patients medical history which
assists in identifying the type of medication that needs to be prescribed. This results in safe diagnosis.
Corporate HR's can also identify the medical expenditure pattern the employees incur and update the medical
insurance packages with the hospitals accordingly to ensure better health care for the employee. In case if any
emergencies emerge, patients can be notified of the change in their time slot immediately. Also, the

appointments can be easily prioritized per requirements and can ensure response rapidly for the patients. It
can help in creating the time slots based on the various aspects of specialization like time required to diagnose
a issue varies from one doctor to another and the complexity of the sector the doctor is in, such as
physiotherapy would take a long time where as a general doctor takes 5-15 minutes approximately for each
issue. Also, the web based scheduling is highly accurate and avoids any chance of booking a single slot by
different patients.
II.LITERATURE SURVEY
The Proposal is to make efficient use of Web Technology for scheduling the patient appointments at the
health centers. The Main goal is to identify the subjects that needs to be improved in order to assist the
corporates in ensuring less ergonomic hazards and also assist the global health sector in providing much
better and safe services to the patients. For, Paper-Based scheduling the patient or someone related to the
patient needs to physically attend at the health center to get a appointment and then wait in the queue to get
the check-up or the treatment done. This results in a lot of time wastage and also makes the patients suffer
more. Web Based Application will help in overcoming these issues.
III.PROPOSED SYSTEM:
IV.RELATED WORK
Prior to initiating the process of project/tool development, it is necessary to determine factors such as time,
economy and company volume. Once these things are identified, then next step would be to determine what
kind of operating system and language needs to be used for development of the web based scheduler
application. After this process, the programmers start building the tool for which they might require external
support and proper strategy/ project plan. This support can be obtained from other resources, from book or
from websites. To develop the proposed system these factors need to be taken into consideration.
To ensure smooth process, Hospitals mainly relies on the appropriate and timely appointment scheduling.
Current Generation people are so habituated to technology that they are very impatient to loose their valuable
time for waiting in the hospital to get their checkup or treatment when they have a chance to book the same
appointment online and reach the hospital 5-10 minutes before their appointment scheduled time. This time is
very valuable to the corporate offices as this will help their employees in getting motivated to get frequent
checkups thereby maintain healthy office environment. There is no need for the corporate employees to pay
their hospitalization fees, instead they are covered under a package/agreement made between the Hospital and
the corporate office. Also, the doctors at the health care centers would like to have a defined set of patients
instead of over congestion. Enabling this Web Based Scheduling systems also result in doctor getting a
chance to go through the complete patient medical history using which the doctor can provide a safe and
appropriate medication to the patient. Also, the patient can appear at the hospital just before his/her
appointment is scheduled. Several Features like reduction of the effect of emergency cases on the other
patients, currently one-to-many structure is present in this application which will be update many-to-many
between the Hospital and the Corporates and other new features are going to be added to this Scheduler to
make it much more useful across the Globe.
