A Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Grade 2 – English

At the end of the session, with at least 90% accuracy, the students can be able to:

I. Objectives:

1.identify the different types of weather;


2.describe the different types of weather by showing pictures; and
3.match the different types of weather from its name.

II. Subject Matter:


Topic : Different types of Weather
Concept : Recognizing the Different types of Weather
References : Internet (study.com)
Materials : Visual aids, pictures, felt board
Values : Cooperation
Methods : Inductive Method

III. Procedure (4A’s)


A. Activity:
The teacher will present a Weather Bear felt board and it changes weather and
by the help of the students, the bear will know what to wear. This will lead the
students to the topic.

B. Analysis:
The teacher will ask some questions to the students about the topic.
The teacher will ask the following questions:
1. What kind of weather do you see outside?
2. What are the different types of weather?
C. Abstraction:
The teacher will introduce the different types of weather and let the students
describe them.
D. Application:
The teacher will let the students match the different types of weather by its
name.
Matching Type:
A. B.
1. cloudy a.

2. sunny b.

3. rainy c.

4. windy d.

IV. Assignment:
Draw and color a rainbow in a short bond paper.
