Safety information
For your safety and protection, the phone should not be used in bathrooms
or shower rooms (wet rooms). The phone is not splash-proof.
The phone should only be disposed of in an environmentally friendly man-
ner.
Never give the Euroset 2015 to a third party without the operating instruc-
tions.
EEA approval
Euroset 2015 is approved within the European Economic Area (EEA) and
works with all communication systems as described in the operating in-
structions.
Note: This device has been awarded Europe-wide approval for connection
to the public telephone network as a standalone terminal in accordance
with Commission resolution 1999/303/EC. Because of the differences be-
tween the public telephone networks in the various states, this approval
does not in itself offer an unconditional guarantee that the device can be
used successfully at all network terminal points.
If you encounter any problems during operation, you should first contact
your specialist dealer or service center.
General note on saving phone settings
Various telephone setting have to be confirmed with the set key " if they

are to be permanently available.
To cancel the setting procedure (e.g. after an incorrect entry) without sav-
ing, replace the handset instead of pressing . The original setting is then
unchanged.
Saving call numbers

❏ Activating/deactivating open listening

This feature enables people present in the room to listen in to a telephone
conversation by means of the integral loudspeaker.
During a call: Press the loudspeaker key.
Deactivate open listening: Press the key again.
When the loudspeaker in on and the handset is off-hook, open listening
is activated. The integrated handsfree microphone is d eactivated.
When the loudspeaker in o n and the handset is on-hook, handsfree talk-
ing via the integrated handsfree microphone is activated.
❏ Activating/deactivating handsfree talking
This telephone allows you to make calls even when the handset is on-hook
(handsfree talking). For best results, you should be about 50 cm from the
microphone.

Security, lock, call duration display
The telephone can be locked to prevent unauthorized use. You must enter
a 4-digit P ersonal Identification Number (PIN) for this function.

If you are using your telephone on a private PABX, you may need to store

❏ Switching the dialing mode while connected
If your telephone is set to pulse dialing and you want to use functions that
require tone dialing (e.g. remote replay on an answering machine), you can
switch the dialing mode while connected.

While connected: press the asterisk key.
The dialing mode is switched.
Enter the digits for remote control/data transfer.
You can revert to the original dialing mode by replacing the handset.
❏ Recall key (use on private PABXs)

During a trunk call, you can make an enquiry call or transfer a call. To do
. The next step depends on your PABX. In the
factory setting, the recall key function is set to a flash time (interrupt time)
of 90 ms to permit new features to be used on p ublic telephone systems.
When your telephone is connected to a private PABX, it may be necessary
to change the flash time (e.g. 600 ms). Please check the operating instruc-
tions for your PABX.

Using functions for additional services on
public telephone systems
If you wish to use services that are activated with the recall key, you should
first make sure that the correct flash time is set for the key.
❏ Recall key (on public telephone systems)
This key is required in order to use certain additional services on public tel-
ephone systems.
Note:
Depending on the country where the telephone is used, it may be neces-
sary to set the appropriate flash time before using the recall key (see „Set-
ting the flash time for the recall key“ auf Seite 10).
– Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland: 120 ms (code 1)
– France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Germany, Greece: 270 ms (code 2)
– Other European countries: 90 ms (code 0)

❏ Using the repertory keys as ”function keys”
Various services/functions on public telephone systems (which may re-
quire a special order/application) can be selected using defined key com-
binations that can be obtained from your operator. The necessary key com-
binations can be saved on repertory keys as normal call numbers and can
be ”dialed“ and deactivated in the usual way.
Note:
If you activate the symbol display and store functions on the 2nd level of
the repertory keys, then you can use the ”function keys“ to link the acti-
vation and deactivation of various services with the appearance and dis-
appearance of certain symbols on the display.
You should therefore remember, when assigning the repertory keys on the
2nd level, that the activation and deactivation of the display symbols i,
h, g, and j is linked to very specific keys on the second level –
irrespective of what call numbers or functions are set there!

❏ Example: call forwarding
The following is an example of how to use repertory keys as ”function
keys”. If the symbol display is activated and ”call forwarding“ is selected,
for example, then the relevant symbol in the display appears when the
service is activated and disappears when it is deactivated.
The key sequence for activating the ”call forwarding immediately“ function
on your operator’s system may consist of three parts:

The following options are available to you:
1. Dial the complete key sequence each time using the keys.
2. Store the key sequence on r epertory keys
(a) as an entire function together with the call number of a fixed call
forwarding destination;

defining a call forwarding destination that can vary from case to
case.

Additional information
❏ Recommendations for telephone installation
• Do not expose the telephone to direct sunlight or other heat sources.
• Operation at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C.
• A distance of at least one meter must be observed between the tele-
phone and radio equipment, such as radio telephones, radio paging de-
vices or TVs.
Otherwise telephone traffic can be affected.
• Do not install the telephone in rooms where large quantities of dust ac-
cumulate as this can considerably reduce the service life of the tele-
phone.
• To clean the telephone, simply wipe it with a damp cloth or an antistatic
wipe. Never use a dry cloth (danger of electrostatic discharge) or abra-
sive cleaning agents!
• Contact with unit parts (e.g. rubber feet) can leave marks on surface fin-
ishes applied to furniture.
❏ If your telephone is not functioning correctly
No tone, loudspeaker key flashes in ringer rhythm: The tone ringing vol-
ume may be set to 0.
Handset off-hook, no dial tone: is the connecting cord correctly inserted
in the telephone and the wall socket?
A dial tone is audible, but dialing is not possible: the connection is OK.
Is the dialing mode correctly set? See „Switching the dialing mode“ auf
Seite 9.
PABXs only: Connection fails or is incorrect when a number is dialed
from memory (e.g. redial, speed dialing): program the exchange code.
The other party cannot hear you: has the mute key been activated?
Press the key again. Is the handset cord connector inserted correctly?
Recall key not working: set a suitable flash time.

how to operate the phone. Questions about the telephone line should be
addressed to your provider.

Per ragioni di sicurezza e per la tutela della vostra salute, non utilizzare il
telefono in stanze da bagno o cabine della doccia (ambienti umidi). Il tele-
fono non è impermeabile.
Una volta che non viene più utilizzato, smaltire il telefono in conformità alle
norme sulla tutela dell’ambiente.
Se cedete l’Euroset 2015 a terze persone, fornite anche le presenti Istruzio-
ni d’uso.
Omologazione SEE
L’Euroset 2015 è omologato nello spazio economico europeo (SEE) e fun-
ziona in tutti i sistemi di comunicazione conformemente alle istruzioni
d’uso.
Nota: la presente apparecchiatura terminale è stata approvata in con-
formità alla decisione 1999/303/CE del Consiglio per la connessione paneu-
ropea come terminale singolo ad una rete analogica PSTN. A causa delle
differenze tra le reti dei differenti paesi, l’approvazione non garantisce però
di per sè il funzionamento corretto in tutti i punti di terminazione di rete
PSTN. In caso di problemi contattare in primo luogo il fornitore del prodotto.
Istruzioni generali per la memorizzazione
delle impostazioni telefoniche
Per poter disporre sempre delle diverse impostazioni del telefono, quando
vengono effettuate, vanno concluse premendo il tasto della memoria ".

immissione errata) senza effettuare la memorizzazione, invece di premere
il tasto a conclusione della procedura, riagganciare il microtelefono;

Durante una conversazione telefonica sulla linea esterna, potete chiamare,
ovvero consultare una terza persona o trasferire la chiamata premendo il
tasto R. Come continuare la procedura, dipende dal vostro sistema telefo-
nico. All’acquisto, la funzione del tasto R, per l’utilizzo dei nuovi servizi su
sistemi telefonici p ubblici, è preimpostata su un tempo di flash (tempo di
interruzione) di 90 ms. Se il telefono è collegato ad un sistema telefonico
privato può darsi che vada modificato detto tempo di flash (p.e. 600 ms).
Consultare anche le istruzioni d’uso del vostro sistema telefonico.

I diversi servizi/funzioni dei sistemi telefonici pubblici – per l’utilizzo dei
quali può darsi che sia necessaria una richiesta a parte – possono essere
utilizzati tramite determinate combinazioni di tasti, che potete richiedere al
vostro gestore di rete. Dette combinazioni di tasti, le potete programmare
sui tasti di selezione rapida come normali numeri di telefono, "selezionare"
e disattivare.
Nota:
Se attivate la visualizzazione dei simboli e programmate i richiami delle fun-
zioni sul 2° livello dei tasti di selezione rapida, potete associare l’attiva-
zione e la disattivazione di diversi servizi tramite "tasti funzione" con la vi-
sualizzazione o il mascheramento di determinati simboli del display.
Quando programmate i tasti di selezione rapida sul 2° livello, notare che,
l’attivazione e disattivazione dei simboli del display i, h, g, e
j sono associate a tasti ben precisi nel 2° livello – indipendentemente
dai numeri telefonici o richiami di funzioni in essi programmati.

Qui di seguito è descritto un esempio per l’utilizzo di tasti di selezione rapi-
da come "tasti funzione". Se la visualizzazione dei simboli è attivata,
nell’esempio "Inoltro di chiamata", quando viene attivato il servizio, sul di-
splay viene visualizzato il relativo simbolo, ovvero spento quando il servizio
viene disattivato.
La combinazione dei tasti per l’attivazione della funzione "Inoltro immedia-
to“, presso il vostro gestore di rete è p.e. composta da tre fasi:

❏ Recomendación para la colocación del teléfono

• Debe guardarse una distancia mínima de un metro entre el teléfono y

Solo nel caso di sistemi telefonici: nessun collegamento o collega-
mento errato quando il numero viene selezionato dalla memoria (p. e.
ripetizione della selezione, selezione breve): programmare il codice di
accesso alla linea esterna.
L’interlocutore non vi sente: è stato premuto il tasto Mute? Premere di
nuovo il tasto. Il connettore del cavo del microtelefono è inserito bene?
Il tasto R non funziona: impostare il tempo di flash esatto.
