Designation: Piping Design engineer.
1. Depentenizer Project (Recovery of Benzene extraction from FCC feed)
 Responsibilities:
 The scope of this project to propose depentenizer column in FCC unit to reduce the light
reformates flow to extraction distillation column.
 Study pipe routing; pipe rack & U/G system planning
 To make nozzle orientation drawings of vessels and air cooler platform input drawings.

 To review pipe routing in SPR & participate in model review meetings.
 Insert plate locations drawing preparation.
 Pipe supports selection & Support cleats drawings on vertical column.
 Preparation of BMTO & Line list.
2. J3-Offsites and Utilities project
 Responsibilities:
 Major scope of this project is to meet the demand of Utilities required for refinery
expansion and to checking space availability in existing OSBL rack & sleeper for OSBL
new piping modeling.
 Piping routing between OSBL and ISBL.
 Preparation of site plan.
 Preparation of CPS sketches for civil input.
 To make piping GAD of OSBL rack.

3. Recovery of LCO within MCB circuit.


 Responsible for all piping deliverables and coordination with other discipline engineers.
 The project scope is to recover LCO from FCC bottoms by reducing bottom temperature
(quenching).
 To do study existing FCC piping 3D model for selecting most favorable new pipe routing
and site verification of selected pipe routing.
 Participate in 3D model review of LCO circuit.
4. Decontamination piping in FCC unit
 Responsible for Piping modeling & BMTO preparation.
 The scope of project consist of, to enable the safe handover of equipment & piping.
Decontamination to remove H2S, pyrophoric material and other contaminants from piping.
 Modeling of new pipe line in existing 3D model.
 Issue of new pipe routing isometric.
 Revising existing isometric for new pipe line tapping.
 Preparation of BMTO.
5. Inconel up gradation in crude line piping.
 Responsible for IFC of new pipe line and existing line isometric..
 To avoid leakages from existing branches due to corrosive fluid. The project scope is to
change LPD & SH lines material to Inconel 625.
 Changing the existing pipe line branch with Inconel 625 material in 3D piping model.
 Preparation of critical line list and stress packages.

6. Offsite cooling water pipelines. for Data centre.
 Responsible for IFC isometric.
 The major scope includes new cooling water pipeline from cooling tower to 4G data
centre and piping support. Cooling water pipe routing on sleeper and road crossing.
 To review the IFC isometric.
 3D Modeling of piping and sleeper in OSBL area.
7. Blow down system piping of FCC unit
 Responsible for isometric deliverables of piping.
 Pipe route selection and modeling as per P&ID.
 Preparation of stress critical line list and stress packages.
 Incorporating stress comments in Piping 3D model and checking support feasibility in
piping model as per support standard.
 To do stress analysis of new piping.
 Load checking of supports using CAESAR-II.

Organization :Thermal Links (Aug-2010 to June-2012)

Thermal Links is in business of Design/fabrication of equipments, fabrication piping spools for major
projects and revamp jobs.

8. Saro Captive Power plant piping
 The scope of project includes design of new piping connected to Deaerator, Condensate
pumps, instrument/utility air compressors and boiler feed pumps.
 Equipment layout and pipe routing.
9. HPCL knock out drum piping
 Issuing isometric for connected piping of knock out drum as per P&ID,
 Preparation of BMTO.
 Coordination with DEC and Client for project progress, engineering clearances.
10. Oil and Gas Mangalore refinery (OMPL)
 Project scope includes the preparation of piping GAD, isometric deliverables.
 Preparation of piping & support BMTO.
 Preparation line list, data sheet, as built markup.
 Communication with Site team for problem resolving.
 Nozzle orientation vessels and platform input drawings.

11. CPP plant of Sriram project
 Issuing of piping isometric of down comer piping and saturated steam piping.
 Nozzle orientation of vessels and platform input drawings.
12. Deepak fertilizer plant
 The project scope includes preparation of isometric piping connected LP steam drum,
blow down system piping & riser piping.
 BMTO of piping and supports.
 Valve data sheet and special material data sheet.
 Nozzle orientation of LP steam drums.
Site experience
 Responsibilities.
 Deputed for 5 month for revamp project of Saro power plant at Raichur ,India
 Checking of isometric, isometric as markup as per site condition
 Checking of nozzle orientation of vessels and connected piping, support location
 Checking for erection & fabrication of piping spools.
