The inaugural session of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Cansuje, Argao, Cebu was held on July 1, 2018. All 7 SK council members were present. Resolution No. 04-2018 authorizes the Punong Barangay and Barangay Treasurer of Cansuje to withdraw Sangguniang Kabataan funds on behalf of the SK provided that any programs, projects, or activities are approved by separate SK council resolution. This will allow the SK to implement projects while they are still opening their own bank account in accordance with regulations. The resolution was unanimously adopted on July 22, 2018.

RESOLUTION NO. 04-2018

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PUNONG BARANGAY AND BARANGAY TREASURER BOTH


OF CANSUJE, ARGAO TO WITHDRAW SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN FUNDS IN BEHALF OF THE
SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF CANSUJE PROVIDED THAT IN EVERY PROGRAMS, PROJECTS,
AND ACTIVITIES (PPA’S) OF SK IS SUPPORTED BY A SEPARATE APPROVED RESOLUTION BY
THE SK COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 10742 Section 20 (b) states that “The SK
shall have financial independence in its operations, disbursements and encashment of their
funds, income and expenditures. As such, the SK funds shall be deposited in the name of the
SK of the concerned barangay in a government-owned bank situated in or nearest to its area of
jurisdiction with the SK chairperson and the SK treasurer as the official signatories”;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Cansuje is still on the process of opening its own bank
account;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Cansuje has Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPA’s)
that needs to be addressed immediately;
WHEREAS, the SK wouldn’t want its projects to be paralyzed;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Jocelina M. Albiso duly seconded by all members present,
BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Kabataan of Cansuje, to
authorize the Punong Barangay and Barangay Treasurer both of Cansuje, Argao to withdraw
Sangguniang Kabataan funds in behalf of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Cansuje provided that
in every Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPA’s) of SK is supported by a separate approved
resolution by the SK Council.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copies of this resolution to the Sangguniang Barangay, the
Barangay Treasurer, and to all others concerned, for their information.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that this resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED: July 22, 2018_____________________________________________
