Harmony Music Curriculum
Kindergarten ● Experience melody alone and melody with accompaniment
● Experience barred instruments and use proper mallet technique
1st Grade ● Perform speech ostinato as accompaniment
● Demonstrate simple bordun (chordal)
● Perform and label ostinato
2nd Grade ● Perform and label rounds ● Experience major and minor tonalities ● Demonstrate simple bordun (broken)
3rd Grade ● Perform and label melodic ostinato
