HOW TO SET UP SECURE PIN PRINTING HP MFP M426dn

1. Open Control Panel, click Devices and Printers, right click on the desired printer and select
Printer Properties.

2. In the Printer Properties window, click Device Settings tab, adjust the settings as shown below
and click Apply
▪ Storage Device - Installed
▪ Job Storage - Automatic
▪ Job Accounting - Enabled
▪ Secure Printing - Automatic
▪ Mopier Mode - Enabled
3. Click the General tab, click the Preferences button below.

4. Click the Job Storage tab, select Personal Job under Job Storage Mode. Under Make Job
Private/Secure, select PIN to print. Note: If there is no Job Storage tab, PIN to print is not
available on that printer.
5. Enter preferred 4-digit PIN (it will stay this way until you turn it off or change the pin).

6. Click OK under Job Storage tab and click OK again in the Preferences window.

RETREIVE JOBS FROM PRINTER


7. Click the Jobs icon on the Printer Control Panel LCD
8. Scroll down, locate and click your User Name to display Stored Jobs

9. Select and click the Job to be printed (Lock Icon beside Job Description confirms the Job is secured
with PIN)

10. Enter the PIN from Step 5 above and click OK


11. Click Delete to delete job, click Copies to adjust required print and click Print to release the jobs.

NOTE: Once your job is printed it is automatically deleted from the printer.
